Equity In Education Scholarship

Merit- and Need-Based

The goal of the EES: This full-need scholarship, started in 2020, aims to give underrepresented minorities an opportunity to attend St. Anne’s School of Annapolis, and to enhance St. Anne’s School’s ability to recruit and retain students whose race, ethnic, cultural, and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body.

Admissions Criteria and Recruitment:

The EES Committee will identify students of color who have attended local area elementary schools and who require financial assistance to attend St. Anne’s School of Annapolis. Rising Sixth Grade students can apply.

Selection is based on academic performance, leadership skills, personal interviews with students and their families, teacher recommendations, and demonstrated financial need. Student recruitment efforts include contact with public school administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, friends and family of admitted students, as well as local community and peer organizations.

The EES agreement states that the recipient of the scholarship will receive 100% of the costs to attend grades Sixth through Eighth at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis on a need-based basis. Students will not need to reapply each year.
